SAMS Canada Welcomes New Treasurer

SAMS Canada is pleased to welcome Mr Donald Bryant as Treasurer, effective June 30, 2010.

Aged 59, Donald was born in England and immigrated to Canada in 1954. He curently lives in Calgary. He has worked for the past 30 years with BP Canada Energy and predecessor companies, where he currently serves as Joint Venture Audit Coordinator, and had worked previously in the financial industry with CIBC, Canada Trust and Royal Trust. Don is qualified as a Certified Financial Planner.

Don is an active member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, and of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, both in Calgary. He has served actively in Calgary's Anglican Cursillo Movement since 1998, sitting on the Secretariat, serving as Lay Director and as a team member on many occasions.

Within St. Andrew's, he is a member of the Intercessory Prayer Team and the Worship Committee, he chairs the Parish Breakfast Committee, and is a member of two men's home groups. He and his wife Margaret have supported SAMS for several years now, and also support other missions and agencies as well.

Don replaces David Orman, who has served faithfully as the Treasurer since 2005. We thank David for his faithful support, his vigilance, and not the least, his sharp and always delightful sense of humour.
