Report on Chilean Relief Funding

SAMS Canada reports that it transferred to the diocesan office in Chile $9,334.77 in relief funding that its supporters contributed in response to the earthquake in February 2010.

These funds were passed directly to the Diocese for allocation where deemed most necessary and appropriate by the Diocese. As promised, no service charge was applied by SAMS Canada during the initial period of sixty days. All transfer and administrative costs were absorbed by SAMS during that period, assuring donors that 100% of those donations were transferred quickly and in their entirety to Chilean diocesan officials for use where they were needed most. SAMS' usual administrative assessment of 10% was resumed in early May. For information or to make a donation, click here.

Saturday, February 27, 2010, the date of the massive earthquake in Chile, was Bishop Colin and Barbara Bazley's 50th anniversary. To read Gold Among the Rubble . . . an Anniversary with a Difference, click here.
